I am using an Kent HI-S 60 GPD RO unit and I am getting only about 20 GPD.
The water pressure is within thier specs, but the incoming water is at about 55 degrees whereas they specufy that it must be between 70-77 degrees. Furthermore they do not allow to mix the hot and cold water to establiush the ideal temperature. Well, I have never seen water out of the cold water tap at 70 degrees. It is totally impractical to heat the water and then put it though the RO unit. Does anyone have any suggestions, or Do I just live with 20GPD. Thanks, |

Fill up a 5 gallon bucket with water and place a heater in the bucket. Run a bunch of the tubing through it after the water tap and before it reaches the RO unit. This will work as a heat exchanger.
