Hello,
Just recently install another GFCI in one of my tank. Also, I just recently purchased a little giant pump 4md sc (1.5 yr old) which has been running for the past month. However, the pump always trip the GFCI. Does this mean that the pump is pretty much useless now and I also does some equipment always trip the GFCI? I would hate to throw this pump away but if it poses a danger to me, then screw it. Is there anyway to clean it or test it out again? |

Is the plug wired correctly? Plug something similar into it or use a plug tester to see if things are correct.
The pump plug may need to be re-wired.

I think I am just going to buy a new pump. The pump was bought from another reefer a while back and it's been used almost 2 years. Given that I don't know the history of this pump, I think I am going to buy a new pump.
