Skimmer for a 75Gal.

Here in the far North I can only get Aqua-medic, Deltec, Tunze and Sander Skimmers, soo its kind of a "limited" skimmer market .......

Wich is best?????!!!!!!

Thanks in advance

The only two of those that I am somewhat familiar with are the Aqua-Medic and the Tunze. Both are good skimmers. The Aqua-Medic is probably a little cheaper than the Tunze and for a 75-gal tank would be a good choice.

I have an Aqua-Medic Turboflotor Multi that can be set up as a hang-on-the-tank skimmer or as an inside the sump skimmer. Or you could get the standard Turboflotor T-1000 model if you have a filter sump to place it in.

I'm getting a sumpless system, soo i thing I'm gonna go with the T-1000Multi or a Tunze, but the tunze is internal thats kind of a drawback.

Wich skimmer is the most efffective?

I can't comment on the Tunze but I do know that the Turboflotor Multi would be perfect for your tank if you don't mind the amount of space it will take up hanging on the tank. I hope you have enough room behind your tank to fit it in. You will need about 25 cm.

I have a turbo floater in sump modle and it works great. If you get the multi the one thing that really seams to help them is to add a small air pump to air inlet it really increase the efectiveness of the skimmer.

Thanks for all the replyes!!!!!

Stang69, Check out www.tunze.com

I've heard al lot of prple in Norway recommending the T-1000, soo i think I'm gonna go with that skimmer.
I have about 50 cm on the side of the tank(guess it'll fit in there!!!).

I have a shcego ideal Air pump Wich i might use to increase the effectivness....

Sure, you have one glitch and want an explanation!

I have NO idea how that happened but it is kind of cool. We start a new game with it, post a pic and discover where it shows up!

Sorry bud, no idea here,
Scott Z.

WHAT THE!!1 what is everyone thinking! Northern man should go with a AquaC skimmer, undoubtly one of the best brands of skimmer out there. He should go with a Remora hang on with a maxi jet, or a remora Pro. both are top of the line hangon s and take up very little space and do not need a sump. check them out at www.proteinskimmer.com
