Contact Geo at geomweb@aol.com and ask him about his skimmers. I am sure you have heard of them and if not a search on any BB will turn up lots of people happy with his stuff. I myself have a few of his skimmers and even a calcium reactor.

LOL, everybody's going to tell you what their using, not the best. Trust me, all the skimmer mentioned are good
Do you plan to use it in the sump or out of the sump? Hang on the back maybe? The Becket head skimmers like the Myreef and Geo's need a BIG pump to drive em. Big pump means lots of electricity. If that's not a problem then I would consider one of the others. I use a Euro-reef and its as good or better then any skimmer I have seen. The one disadvantage is that it needs to be ran in sump only. The advantages are that its very easy to clean. I can remove the pump in 5 seconds. I can pull the skimmer out of the sump in the same amount of time. It uses a much smaller pump then the becket driven skimmers. Their are some good skimmers out there and everybody has their favorite. Its just a matter of choice.. Mark oh yeah, another disadvatage that some people think the Euro-reef has is that it uses a dedicated pump. I don't see it this way because its just a Sedra pump with a needle wheel. The standard impeller from a Sedra pump works just as good as the needle wheel. |

Try this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1317554954 Dude is having a blowout on almost everything for a reef and everything seems half off. It's a Dutch bidding and lowest price is the selling price for the winners. I have already placed a bid on the VHO's and thinking of the PFO MH too. |

I'm using a Lifereef VS-24 on my 180. It works great but at the moment I have a small tank load.
Just wondering what's wrong with yours. Skimmers don't have any moving parts except for the pump. Is it possible that you don't have anything in your tank to skim out. This happens a lot in my tank. |
