How many people do you think have used two of the skimmers on the poll? I have used 5 skimmers in the last 17 years and none of them are on itl............

Best bet is to do a search on all the BB's.....you'll find Euro-reef and a beckets head skimmer recommended most...

I like the Euro-reef's because their easy to install, clean, do maintenace and they use a smaller less powersucking pump.

LMAO....I agree w/mark.....Dont expect ppl to be partial to the choices you selected for your poll! Im using an EV240 skimmer on my 220 gal tank.....looks just like the picture reefhead posted......I Love it....from what I have read though PM's are great and so are Euroreefs. But next time you post a poll make a BUNCH of options not just 4....you will see a more broad view then!

I vote for the Remora Pro by AquaC. It's the best HOT skimmer out there.

A vote for AquaC here. No particular model, they all seem to be great! Anyone have experience with their new models? scubadude, do you like the performace of the 240?

Yes I love it....but I had to do some fancy plumbing and if my water level in my sump is too high then it stops skimming.....but all that should be fixed once I get my autotopoff working good. When its skimming the way it should be then I have to clean it atleast once a week, and I get almost a 1/2gal of dark sludgy skimmate from it....Im running a mag 12 for the skimmer....and I believe thats the least effecient pump that AquaC recommends out of the 3 pumps they recommend.

    bfeit,

    Whats Up!
    Welcome to Reefland.

I'm using a Das Bx on my 180...I'm afraid it will break everytime I need to move it. No lie. (Not sure if they even make them anymore the Bx1 was phased out a year ago)

I'm loving the skimate production of the TurboFl 1000 Multi on the 54g.
Come by some time and catch a whiff.

See ya at the next meeting.

Deltec is the best skimmer ever.
Everyone I know in norway recommend Deltec too.
Their handbuilt in germany, and their extremly efficient
Here´s a pic of my deltec after 6 hours of running.
