ampmaster 3000 corrosion?
Hi everyone, it's been awhile.
I noticed that my ampmaster 3000 had developed a "clicking". I checked underneath the unit and noticed a brownish dried spuz that had leaked out where the spinning shaft meets the impeller housing. What's going on?

Probally salt creep coming off the SS shaft.
I own (2)am3000's, best pump out there IMO. Low energy consumption, high output, quiet, and backed my a long warranty.

corrosion is not covered under the warranty....is the housing rusty at all ,or does the outside look fine?you are supposed to protect them from salt splash....

I would definately call them up. Im sure they will work it out w/you if it has been a fairly recent purchase. If You have ball valves/unions on your pumps so you can turn them off and disconnect from tank right? you may just need to turn it off give it a light cleaning/oiling and plug it back in and fire it up. but definately call them first
