well im about to bite the bullet
thing is i cant decide between the 4 and the 6 i think technically ,the four is rated for my tank, but i dont want it to EVER fall off so im thinking step up to the 6.its a difference of 40 bucks ,and comparitvely speaking, after all ive spent on the new tank, its like i might as well just get the better one ,but is it completely overkill? which one do you have?(golfish ,myreef, anyone else)what do you think? |

dunno about a mangrove but floaters are nice= fall off float to the top. A good one rated for your tank if the size isn't max would probally be fine. To strong of a magnet may give you really big biceps. but if you have them already go for the bigger one. ....I think I would go for the bigger one. If it was way to strong you can use the acylic pad to weaken it. It's hard to say. My wife can barely move mine which I can move but after 5min its hard.

I believe the Algae Free brand magnets are the same exact magnets inside as the same rated Magnavores. I have an equivalent to the Magnavore 8 on my tank with 3/4" glass and it is a bear! My wife can't move it!
www.northcoastmarines.com has the best price on them. I think the equivalent to the Maganvore 6 is $100 and has a slightly larger surface area. I like the wood look of the Algae Free magnets over the black rubber with the picture of the shark on the Magnavores as well. FWIW, Nathan |

That's exactly what I tell people when they ask me why I paid $140 for a magnet. Some people like to drive a Porsche others like a Chevy

Magnavore 4 on a 120g, it works perfectly and is tiring after a side of glass is cleaned. It doesnt fall off, IMO the Magnavore 6 is too much for a 120g tank.
