    turboflotor 1000 help

i just got my turboflotor 1000 and well, honestly its my first skimmer, cuz i dont reeally count the prizm as an effective skimmer.
any way, how do i know its working, i need to toggle with the amount of water leavingthe skimmer, but like how do i know whats right?
im getting about and inch of clear bubbles in the small tube that overflows into the cup. nothing is overflowing right now. .
    should ne thing over flow?

Eventually the skimmate will work its way up and into the collection cup. Be patient

I got a TF 1000 about 4 months ago for my 100gal tank. I LOVE IT!!! With my old skimmer, the skimmate had no smell. But...the odor of the TF skimmer is OVERWHELMING!!!!! It has been requested that I not empty the skimmer when my wife is home!!!!!!!

The main problem that I had in setting the thing up was getting the RIO 2500 to start. I put the turbo blade on it but it wouldn't start when plugged in. I had to plug it in then unplug it like 5 times before it kicked in but when it did.....it packed the reaction chamber with nice, teeny, tiny bubbles!!!!

You want the water level/foam head to be at the base of the collection cup. In other words, you want to be able to remove the collection cup and not have the skimmer overflow. What I did was take out the two water level adjuster knobs completely. This put my water level just perfect. I use a rio 800 as the input pump.

Hope this helps! You will love this skimmer! Any further questions, feel free to email me. dennis4679@yahoo.com

just keep the water in the black part right under the cup. if you really want to crank it up a notch then add a strong air pump to the venturi tube.

I have one running on my 125 and kicks butt. What I did to really get it working good was to a small air pump on to where it sucks air into the pipe just before the rio and it really increase the bubble production and creats a ton of really slimy skm mate.

Thanks Naser for the turbofloater. THe turbofloater is pretty useless without an air pump. But when the air pump is on, that thing skims pretty mad and effective.
