polish out scratches?

Is it possible to polish out bad scratches in an acrylic tank?

Here is a thread I found in the archives. I wouldn't expect it to remove any bad scratches but should work fine for small ones.

Just depends on how think they are...

more than a fingernails width or a paper thinkness/depth and you will have a tough time removing them
