bulkhead??

Im looking to do the duruso mod to my tank today but have no idea what size bulkhead is in it can someone tell me what size bulkhead is in a oceanic 150?

That tank has dual 1" drains, so you should use 1.25" or 1.5" standpipes. Rich Durso himself used 1.25" standpipes over his 1" drains: http://www.rl180reef.com/frames.htm

The pipes that are in the tank now are3/4 how do i fit 1.25 in that?

heh its 1" thats in there and i guess from reading on the site you get a adapter type thing to go from 1" to 1.5" hmm i will have a fun day today have to do a waterchange too

umm but one question why cant i just make the stand pipe 1" ?

i have 2 overflow but the tank isnt level so the one on the right is doing most of the work and im not really worried bout now because ill be moving in like 2 years so ill just level it then if i need more flow ill just add a closed loop.

Not having a level tank is very stressful on the side glass. The side glass is not designed for that sort of pressure. Good luck.

You want 1.5" (or 1.25") pipes to maximize flow into sump. Keeping your pipe the same size is going to create an irritating siphoning noise. Additionally, your overflow may not be able to keep up with the return pump and you'll overflow the tank.
