150 Plumbing Setup (pic) - How's it look?

    Hey all,

Here's the so far design for my plumbing for my 150G tank. Please tell me what you think. What would you change, or add?

Of course it won't have 90 bends like in the pic, but you get the point.

    Thanks!

    Looks great!!!

Only thing i can put my finger on is the spray bar, you might want too increase the length so it cover the hole bac of your tank.
If you just want 2 rock foundationds, i would'nt do anything...
And maybe a check valve for the ref, if its gonna sit above the tank.
They said aquariums would be relaxing......(yeah right)

Maybe think about two sea swirls. I went with two on the 125 am doing now.

I'd be careful with putting spray bars that low in the tank. If your power goes out on you, the water in your tank could back-siphon through those spray bars and completely emtpy your tank. Do you have some sort of solution for this already like a siphon break?

    Thanks Guys!

I will add a check valve to the pic for the ref pump.

I plan to have 2 rock formations That's why the spray bars are short. Actually, they are optional at this point. So is the SS.

I only really need 1 sea swirl bc of a few reasons:

    1. More than likely it's gonna break like everyone elses
    2. I will also have 4 MJ1200's on a wave master pro
    3. I have tons of gph through the pump alone.
    4. They're expensive;)

There will be a syphon break, but I'm still not sure if it would stop the water. I'll have to make a smaller experiment model to see. I have no experience with that yet...

Here's a drawing of only the drains, I'll have the returns only tomorrow:

Note: The refugium will now have 2 bulkheads for drain.
