sump and baffle questions
I want to setup my sump so that the skimmer chamber water level does not fluctuate. What's the best design for baffles so that I can have a skimmer chamber then an evaporation chamber?

The water doesn't fluctuate in the compartment my skimmer is connected to. If the water from the overflow flows into a chamber with the skimmer and the water has to pass over the first baffle that chamber will always have a constant water level. I always like baffles that go over/under/over. If you have an odd number of baffles and start with the over configuration, IME you have less bubbles entering the show tank as well. Hope that makes sense...if not let me know and I can show you with a drawing.
