Will I be able to use my AMP3k

Here is the sump design I am using. Please tell me if I will be able to use my Ampmaster 3000 for the return pump.

The tank is a 90gal (48"long, 24" tall, and 20"wide) drilled on one end for a 1.5" bulkhead.

I plan on dividing the tank in half. The first half will be for my refugium. It will share one of the overflows with the sump. The return pump will be a Maxi 1200 for now. I will build the tank divider in the center of the tank so that if the pump were to fail, the refugium will overflow into the sump. Otherwise the refugium and sump will be separate systems.

The second half of the sump will have a Euro-Reef CS8-3 in it. I plan on the first baffle being an 8" over, to keep the water level consistent. There will then be some more baffles to get rid of the bubbles.

do you mean in terms of bubbles?i would guess thats youre only possible obstacle.since half of youre sump will be a refugium,i doubt it.

This is what I'm going to try:

Three baffles, 1st is an over to set skimmer water level, 2nd under, 3rd over

My lfs also recommended that I use a 90 degree elbow pointing down on the pump intake. I would think this will help a lot because the bubbles should be at the top.

i still have my doubts,3k gph through 24" and 30 or so gallons of water and with a skimmer. but, heres a couple more suggestions:
make sure you get the water level at it max, with just enough room to hold the drain when the return is shut off.-determine this, then set you baffles
also us some 4"pvc/acrylic /whatever,and cut it to youre water level, have one for each of youre drains to empty into, kinda a little over baffle for each input
a couple more baffles wouldnt hurt either
not much else you can do. good luck
