Right now I have my chiller to a set temp of 79 deg fahrenheit if goes to 80 the chiller turns on if it drops to 78 it turns off. I was wondering if there is a setting in the Ranco Electronic Temperature Control for having it a little cooler at night? say like have the set temp for 76 or 77 but still maintain daylight stimulus at 79.....or am I talking a controller then? I have looked through my reef files and cant seem to find the paperwork, but as I recall there was nothing in there about multiple setting timers in there. Is this even a moot point?

You are talking controller then, I believe. I know my AquaController can do it....the only way I see is to have two Ranco temp controllers and have them on timers....have the "day" Ranco come on and go aff at a specified time in the morning and evening....then opposite for the night Ranco.....Would be cheaper than a full blown controller.
