bak/pak into refugium?
I have the original bak/pak on my 29g tank and I'd like to turn the part where all the blue ribbon is, into a refugium, I'm thinking about adding about 6" of sand, and some rumble from the lfs to help seed it
my most important question is what light can i put on it, and what's the lowest light caulerpa? thanks also any body ever done this before? |

Mikeman,
I had thought about doing the same with an old Bak-Pak of mine. The two concerns I had were 1- Would the additional sand add too much weight and stress the tank it is hanging on 2- The sand blocking the slope where the two chambers meet inside the BP. In the end I wound up using the Bak-Pak just for skimming on a small tank I converted into a refugium as part of a bigger setup. (This may not make sense for your scenario in this case though) HTH, Greg D |
