collection cup position?

Hi guys~~

I have been using remora pro (hang on)....in 30gallon tank
At first, it produce dry foam during 6 hours...but after that, it wouldn't
produce dry foam. The foam is raised continuously but not dry foam.
wet foam? like that...
And the color of waste is not dark,but light(the color of light tea...)

Is that wrong?
and Do you know why?

Always dry foam and dark colored waste is perfect skimming?

What pump are you using with it?

How low are you setting the collection cup?

I had inconsistant results with mine as well, but things improved with an MJ1200 pump replacement.

I agree with schrocat; put a Maxi Jet 1200 on it and see if that improves the performance. Once you get teh cup set, you shouldn't have to continually adjust it.
