Help with Auto Feeder recommendations
I am considering buying an automatic feeder. I am interested in opinions about brands that work well. I would like to have at least a 7-day feed cycle. Twice that would be good for 2x per day. I suppose that it is important to have a moisture-proof seal. What type of food can be used other than flake? I can go either with battery powered or electric. I can mount it either on the plastic rim of my 90g tank or, perhaps, to the inside of my wood tank cover/canopy.
Thanks for any suggestions. |

Hagen has been a fairly reliable name so I think this would be a good one, the only thing it doesnt speak of is the air pump hook up for keeping the food dry http://www.petsmart.com/products/product_16544.shtml This one does have the airpump hook up to keep the food dry, I think this is an important feature to have. I also think battery powered or atleast backup is an important feature. I would probably stay away from the cheap ones that are like $25 bux cuz they look cheap (get wat u pay for) or you have to buy a timer...some of them dont even tell you!...Get a good one that will last a while cuz im sure you will want to use it again. Plus its obvious not alot of ppl have tried these (no responses) So you could give us some reviews I would definately be interested in buying one, but would appreciate it if you could be the guinea pig for me ![]()

some will require you to hook up an air pump to them to keep the moisture out or they will clog if you dont. i got one like that and never bothered to run the air pump. i just returned it.
