Sea Swirls
Okay.... Can't take my PH's anymore. Tomorrow I am ordering the Sea Swirls like Scuba suggested. My tank is 168 gal. I am using a LG as my return pump.
My question are: should I go with 3/4" or 1"? should I hook them up to my returns, or use them with an external pump? Also if I go with the external pump, how much plumbing is involved, and which pump would you guys recommend. Thx for any help

What's a LG do as far as GPH with your head pressure? If your planning on using two SS's I'd go with two 3/4 or even better two 1" and an Amp Master 3000......

hey sue :)
I would go with the 3/4" models, as they can handle up to 850GPH each...if you got 2 of them you could always upgrade your pump and they could capacitate a more hefty pump. But if you want the 1" models you will definately need a bigger pump, like Mark suggested the AM3K. but it just so happens that I checked out Sea Swirls website and found this statement
SCRATCH & DENT SPECIAL.............. We have about a dozen 3/4" units that have chips on the corners of the boxes. These units are brand new and carry the same 1 year warranty- $139.95! Call for details or to order. And they do Fed Ex ![]() |
