Put it in the corner, put 400w of light over top of it and fill it to the rim with SPS!

How do you plan to handle current? I remember chatting in the IRC room the other day and recall you mentioning the "Quiet One". How much GPH are you going to push through the sump? What size drain and return is the overflow set-up with?

im going to use a sen 700 for my return and a mag 950 on a closed loop. i plan on drilling a whole in the bottom of the overflow tee'd off to 2 bulkhead strainers. the pipes will hug the sides off the tank corners and loop over through a drilled hole through the plastic corner guards all glass adds to the tanks plastic rim. at first, the water will just flow through Lock line but, will be created with sea swirls in mind for the future. i also painted the back glass panes black to conceal the plumbing of the loop.

A friend used his dremel to widend every other gap in the overflow to double there size and created a durso to fit into the 1" bulkhead--the return bulkhead is 3/4.

pics to come

LOL Got to see your tank yesterday when I was over at chucks house Joe....that is one sweet tank setup....You really need to post pics and explain in elaborate detail how that loop was setup....the 54g corner is evidently a popular tank and you got that thing tricked out already.....show everyone! They may want to copy you.

Sounds like your coming right along Joe! When do you anticipate giving it the first trial run?

I am looking forward to seeing how you are working out a closed loop on a corner tank!

Have you cranked up the MAG 18 yet? I was just wondering how your overflow handles the gph. I knew that the one in our 75gal wouldn't handle all the MAG could push, I was just wondering if you are experiencing the same.

I just realized that your MAG 18 was on a closed loop and not the main return pump. What are you using as your return pump?

Regards,
Scott Z.
