Hi skunk
How much do you need? I can probably bring you some if you go to the Orlando reef club meeting.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to ya....was out of town.
You will need approximately 160 pounds of sand to achieve a 5 inch depth in a 48.25 inch long x 12.75 inch wide tank assuming the sand weighs 90 pounds per cubic foot. I have bags that are about 80lbs each so that would be 2 bags I can bring that to the meeting for ya if you want just buy me a beer or lunch Just plez make sure you will be at the meeting if you decide you want it....that stuff is heavy to tote aroundORCA Website Just clik on meetings and it will give you instructions, date, time, etc etc. Last edited by scubadude; 10-16-2002 at 08:53 AM. |

Thanks for the offer scubadude. But i wont be able to make the meeting. i dont think.
Also we just went ahead and setup the tank with 2 bags of Carrib-Sea aragonite. The lil lady was in a Rush, and the value of waiting a few weeks didnt seem worth it to her. I really do appreciate the offer though. I will try to make the meeting, but I doubt I will be able to. Thankyou |
