Calcium Reactor Diagrams
If someone has a picture or some sort of diagram of their Calcium Reactor set-up that they can post I would appreciate it. I just recieved most of the components of my Marine Life Aquatics C/R and would like a little more picture type info or suggestions.

I'm gonna try this.
Here is what I'm gonna try for the inlet into the calcium reactor. Please see diagram (hopefully). Basically I have a suction nipple that was just sitting around that I will use to connect the return pump hose to the reactor inlet hose. I will poke a small hole into the return hose, apply some super glue on the rim of the nipple for a seal and push the nipple into the hose (with the pump off of course). Will it work? We shall see.

Chris,
It might work... If not, we've had good sucess with a really small powerhead feeding the reactor. You don't show where you are injecting your CO2. I'd make sure it is within the reactor recirculation loop. Otherwise when you reactor stalls or the effluent line gets clogged, you will pump CO2 strait in to your return line to the tank. Good Luck... Doug

My little design looks like it should work. There is a nice stream of water coming out of the hose. I won't get my CO2 bottle till Monday. I'll keep ya posted.
