RO Membrane storage?

Can anybody give me any tips on storing my ro unit when not in use? I've read about putting the membrane in a bag of water and putting it in the fridge, others have told me i just need to keep the system full of water when not in use. I only need to use the unit once a week.

We run a 5-stage RO/DI unit to produce about 15-20 gallons per week. When it isn't in use, we just let it sit without draining or tearing down the membrane.

We've been running it since March and I plan to change the pre-filters out in the next week or two. Our TDS have been stable at 1-2 since we got it.

The important thing is keeping the membrane wet at all times. Therefore, if you are only using it once a week, the strategy you are currently following is fine.

However, if you stop using the RO for any length of time (more than two weeks), I'd strongly consider taking the membrane out, sealing it in a plastic bag, and storing it in the refridgerator.
