My main problem to date is letting the salinity fluctuate slightly by forgetting to add top-off water to the tank. Anyone have solutions to this? I can do a little pvc work but I am no electronic genius. Wiring a light switch is about my extent. Please no "solder resister #2 to circuit arm #3" or anything..
A DIY solution would be great. ![]() I am hoping to dose kalk later also. Wont do it right now but would like to add a non-stirrer (powerhead) kalk doser to the mix in the future. ![]() |

ok first my computer will not let me load photo's now, so i will try to describe my cheep setup.
I got a float valve from US plastics food grade hooks up to 3/8 tubing less than 10 bucks, made a hanger out of scrap acrylic for the float valve to mount in sump. 3/8 tube runs from valve to nelson reactor, witch was made from scrap acrylic, and all is feed by gravity from a 31 gal rubbermaid of ro/di water. my sump levle has been steady far te last 4 mounths and all I do is run the ro/di once every 2 weeks I hope that made sense sorry far my spelling good luck, jeff |
