Bulkheads
I am looking at bulkheads for my new 125 AGA. I was on the Aquatic Eco-Systems website and noticed that they have a large selection. I see that they have 1 inch bulkheads for like $5.55 and then they have the "high quality" version for $15.90.
Is there really that big of a quality difference? Has anyone ever had problems with so called "cheap" bulkheads. I would think that this would be something that you would not want to skimp on and i don't have a problem getting the more expensive ones if the cost is justified. At the same time, there are plenty of other things to spend that extra money on if the $5.55 version is safe. Any and all input and experience is needed and welcomed. |

I only have experience with regular bulkheads, ours are from Pet Warehouse at $5.99 for the 3/4" and $10.99 for the 2". So I guess ours are not the "high quality", but I can't see what the difference would be. These are quite sturdy. I think the problem with a cheap one that could arise is that it could crack on tightening. But both of ours work fine.

Big price jump from the 2" to the 3". Best to keep that hummer under 2".
