protein skimmer/power heads advice
I have a 48g fish only tank with LR and LS and want to start a reef tank what is a good hang-on protein skimmer for this size tank? I was looking at the red sea prism. Also i need to add some power heads for water flow but I don't know what flow rate should i have. Would 2 maxi jets 1200 be too powerful?

Aqua C Remora or Remora Pro with a Maxi1200 feeding it.

The prizm is to small for your tank.
Ltspd gave a good suggestion with the Aqua-c remora. The MJ 1200's should be fine depending on the dimensions of your tank. As long as it is 30" or longer the 1200 should be good. |
