3/4" bulkheads

I'm currently using a 3/4" inlet and outlet bulkheads for my 10 gallon refugium. The drain bulkhead has a 90 degree elbow with barb threads for the hose. I use a Mag 5 for inlet with a ball valve to slow the flow.

My problem is the slurping or gulping noise of the drain bulkhead - it's to loud for my taste, sounds like a toilet!

Any suggestions?

increase you drain size to 1" or better 1 1/2" should fix the gurgling.
