Travis,
Welcome to Reefland... Calcium Reactors can be a wonderful thing when dialled in correctly. We could use a little more information about your system to help make a recommendation. Many people build their own reactors. There are lots of plans out there and some great designs. We built our reactor and it has been running great since May. The CO2 bottles are generally available from your local welding supply shop. For reference, our 5lb bottle cost about $69 with the first charge of CO2 included. A refill will run you about $12 and we haven't needed one yet. You will also need a CO2 regulator set, a good needle valve, and a bubble counter. Some Reactors come with the recirculation pump, but many do not. You will also need to find a way to feed the reactor. Most people use a small power head and put a valve on the effluent line to control the flow. Hopefully this gives you a few things to ponder over. Let us know what you system is like and I'm sure others will chime in... Doug

Travis,
No one said this hobby was cheap... If they did, they were lying. If you are handy, you can save some cash with DIY. Doug

I'd suggest you buy one from the builder (Andy at MyReef) then from a vendor. I don't have a MyReef calcium reactor ( I have Geo) but I do have a MyReef Kalk reactor. Andy does fine work.
