indoor shark pond
Hello all, I'm in the planning stages of building an indoor shark pool and would appreciate your thoughts. This will be roughly 8-10 feet by 3-4 feet by 24"deep. At this point I'm leaning towards plywood and fiberglass as I can do it and it's affordable. The chief drawback is it's going to weigh a ton and would be difficult /impossible to move if I had to. The fast and easy way is to construct a "bolt together" frame and use a pond liner but I hate the way that looks and it's tough to keep clean with all the folds and creases in the liner. Any ideas?

Nothing wrong with brick/cinder block, and epoxy paint. I saw a pool made somewhat like that in Old Orchard aquarium in teh Chicago area....was pretty cool, and very clean looking.
Impossible to move without breaking it down....but depends on the situation. -Perry |

pond
David,
Project sounds very cool. I am from the Chicago Area and am familiar with the sharkpond Perry speaks of. It is a neat looking pond (very clean)and would look excellent in someone's house. I get out that way once in a while and next time I am there I will ask if I can take a picture and I will send it to ya to help give ya some ideas. Good Luck, Paul |
