What's the best recirculation pump for a 90 gallon?

Looking for something quiet, but it has to be external. I'm particularly interested in people's opinion that have had several different brands, all at about the same flow rate.

Don't use a Mag, they leak out of the sump. I love them for reliability and quiet but they should only be in-sump used

I have run 3 diferent 1200 gph pumps
iwaki 40 worked well with strong flow but the fan is kind of loud

MAK4 my choice ran strong and more quite than the iwaki and less expensive. I will be getting another one for a closed loop on my 90 I am setting up now.

Velocity 4 but the flow was weak comparted to the other 2 and gets very warm but is very quite cant even hear it unless you put your ear to it.

Has anyone had problems with the velocity pumps seizing up due to calcium buildup?
