Thumbs up adding a few "squids " to my set-up

i just got the first one running on my return pump-what a cool little gadget-seems to work great.

ill be adding th other two to my closed loop this weekend.

no more static laminar flow in my tank-all the out puts will be on either the squids or seaswirls.

i dont know whats better -how well it seems to work-or the fact that they dont use electricity.time is the ultimate test of course -but at 40 bucks you just cant beat these things.

organicreefer,
Glad to hear the squid is working well for you. I picked one up for my new tank, but have not had the time to set my tank up yet. Seems my wife feels me renovating her new office is a higher priority than setting up my new fish tank.

Does anyone have anything negative to say about the Squid?

David

Ya, they dont make a larger then 1/2" size... I really wish they would make a 1" version

hmmm-i may have the first negative comment on these things-one of them doesnt seem to work

oh well i guess ill have to return it-the other two work beautifully.

the gears -from what i can see are pretty small-i think these things might clog easy -and the instructions say the supply water MUST be filtered ...well i dont use filters-time will tell.

update.

since ive had to return one and its replacement hasnt arrived-i still havent hooked the two onto my closed loop yet -but the one on my return is still working great. if these things last and they start making bigger sizes theyre gonna put some other "wavemakers" out to pasture-neat little gadget.very pleased thus far.
