Leak....help...

i just put a sump onto my 45g tank....i got it all set up and functioning but the return line is forming a little drip like every 40min at the top of the return hose where it connects w/ the directional return valve...im just afraid im going to wake up and have a puddle on the carpet and a noose around my neck from my mom lol.....anyone else have this problem? i've got the hose pushed up as far as i can get it....its not to the very top but pretty dang close to it....i even put a metal clamp on it to try to keep the drip from forming but it still does.

Either your bulkhead is not quite sealed right or the hose clamp is not quite tight enough.
Try and turn the screw a little more on the hose clamp.
If it still leaks then the it is probably the bulkhead is not quite set right or a piece of sand in the seal or some thing. You can try to tighten it a little more but tightening to much doesnt help.
If it still leaks you may need to redo the bulkhead and hose barb by just taking it a part and puting it back together and make sure you get a good seal.

Anyway some slow leaks like yours will actually seal up on thier own over a few days. I really doubt that it will get worse.
