For a 55 I'll say AquaC Remora with a mag upgrade.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

    In the last week,
I saw the Es-5 go down as low as $135 from major online stores. Locally, they sell for $165.

You can get a blemish one on ebay for $150.

I'm not sure what "the best skimmer for a 55" would be...but I'm extremely pleased with the EuroReef CS6-2 that I run on mine. It is a quality built product thats does an outstanding job.
