400 gallon
Does anyone have any recommendation on where to buy a 400 gallon tank? We are building a new home and I have a place in the Great Room to show place a larger tank. The builder is even adding a utility closet to house the equipment!! I want something spectacular. Also acrylic VS glass? I have always had a glass tank so acrylic advice would be beneficial.

Tenecor - Acrylic
The strongest and longest lasting tank would be made of acrylic. They are 17 times stronger than glass, and the sides and tops are virtually "welded" together. Acrylic is much more clear than glass as long as you buy a good quality tank and not some of the cheap acrylic tanks available. Also you don't have to worry about the silicone becoming old and brittle or having to replace the silicone. They are always talking about the possibility of scratches, but if you take care when cleaning you should not have a problem with them. Sometimes my fish-triggers have a tendency to bite at the sides and leaves a little mark. I also like the idea that the tank has a complete top, no salt with fall off the sides and make a mess. They are almost completely closed, with the exception of the tops that are cut out so you can get into the tank. Tenecor makes a good tank and they have a web site. Also a place called Bioreef can sell you a tank. They also have a web site.
