I have just become the new owner of a MR-1 skimmer from My Reef Creations. It is a great looking unit and the build quality is top-notch.
Thanks Andy!!!! My tank isn't up and running yet so I have yet to see how it performs but going on looks, it will be awsome. I can't wait. Here are a couple of pics for those who are not familiar with these skimmers.

That does look very nice! What kind of pump are you going to power it with?
I am going to be trying out a new skimmer very soon from a local manufacturer, the build looks pretty much the same except he is using his own type of injector which is internal. I am planning on powering the skimmer with my spare MAG 18 which should be plenty. He is running one in his show with a Dolphin 1200 and that skimmer simply rocks. Later, Scott Z. |

Hi Reefland. Thanks. I plan on running it with a Mag 12. It should be plenty powerful enough to run my 125gal when i get it up and running.
Man, it seems like it is taking forever to get everything together. I guess that will just make it that much better when i do get it done! ![]()

Yeah I know what you mean. It seems like it took a long time to get all of our stuff together for the initial set-up and now we are trying to finalize everything like getting the skimmer we need and what-have-you.
I can't wait until you get your all together and can share some pics with us. ![]() |

Well after seeing this, I think it is time to fire up the ol' skimmer!!
My tank just hit 2 weeks old. I was going to wait a full month before kicking the MR-1 on but I think I changed my mind. When your sump alone can create skimmate like this who needs a skimmer!!!! ![]()
