New LED DIY Kits coming soon

might have another option for DIY LED enclosures, sump, refugium lighting. heck they may even work for nano and micro reefs. I have been speaking with TerraLux one of the leading LED manufacturers and they are now making 4, 6, and 8 inch Dim-able Linear LED light bars in the 2700k - 4000k color temp. here are some of its features.

    Features:
    • More efficient than traditional light bulbs
    • Dimmable - no need to change your switches
    • Patented LEDSense┬« Thermal Management simplifies integration and ensures reliability and lumen maintenance
    • 85 CRI (Color Rendering Index)
    • Long-lasting LEDs means no changing bulbs (lumen maintenance L70 = 60,000 hours)
    • IP-65 Rated
    • UL Recognized Component
    • UL 1598C Classified (LED Retrofit Kit, 100-277V Pending)
    • ENEC Certified Product
    • 5-year manufacturer's warranty through TerraLUX
    • FCC Compliant
    • RoHS Compliant, Pb free

    Specifications:
    • Size: 8"
    • Color Temperature: 4000K
    • Voltage: 120V
    • Output: 860 Lumens
    • Power Usage*: 13W
    • Efficacy: 66 Lumens/Watt

Terralux is sending me some demo units to test and review, and i know corals like the 6700k 405-450nm wavelengths but these may work fine for FOWLR, refuges, especially since they are waterproof (not submersible ) but splash, humidity proof i would presume.

I'll post photos and findings as i test.

The bumper led bars look good May I know why you didnt get a one-piece, long led bar instead of having two pieces?
